Gemini's rollout problem is the opposite of every other AI tool's. There's no new app to install and no login to forget, and that turns out to be the trap:
- It arrived as a line item, not a rollout. Gemini got added to your Workspace plan, announced in one email, and never mentioned again. Adoption by osmosis was the plan, and osmosis doesn't file reports.
- The side panel nobody opens. Because Gemini lives inside apps people already use, there was never a moment where anyone started. No first day, no first workflow, no habit.
- One bad first impression traveled. Someone tried it once on the wrong task, decided it wasn't ready, and that verdict spread through the team faster than any enablement email.
- Nobody can name the workflows. Ask your leaders which three recurring pieces of work Gemini should own for their team. If the room goes quiet, you have licenses, not adoption.
Access is not adoption. Finance will eventually ask what the Workspace add-on returned. This page is about making sure you have an answer.
